Hi, everyone. Here are some things to do with and for our neighbors in the next few days. You can also step out to the rally for marijuana justice and the undoing of damage from the “drug war” at 6pm today—your state and condition at that time are of course at your discretion.
TODAY, 12-3pm, Payne Park, Pawtucket: Walk-up vaccinations, COVID tests, information and registration for future appointments, free masks, and free food! I only found out about this just now, but pass the word to anyone you know who might benefit from one or more of these things!
4/24, 8-10am, starting at 122 Manton Ave, Providence: Olneyville cleanup/trash pickup for people who live in the neighborhood! A good way to ease back into socializing if you haven’t been, and make the place you live feel good to be in or walk through. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that can get grimy, and a mask of course. If you don’t live there, pass it on to friends who do!
Anytime this week, 10am-3pm, William Hall Library (1825 Broad St, Cranston): Free rapid COVID testing for all Cranston residents all week. Please spread the word around, especially if you have family and friends that live there. No insurance required, no documents checked, no one turned away. They’ll be at a different spot in Cranston next week!
Anytime after now: If you’re 16 or older, you can get vaccinated for COVID in RI. Go ahead and find an appointment if you haven’t already, and once you’re immunized, offer people rides to get theirs or volunteer at a vaccination site.
With love,
Kate
