Hi all,
It’s just Kate again—Estefany picked up more work and Mia’s school year ended. If anyone PVD raised thinks they could help fill in gaps in this list, and wants to pick up $40-$60 a week for 2-3 hours of online research and writing, please write to me.
Here are some things to do for and with our neighbors this weekend and onward.
TOMORROW, June 10, 11-3pm, John Hope Settlement House, Westminster St, Providence: AMOR’s Grill-Off fundraiser has at least two contestants whose cooking is some of the best I’ve ever eaten, and there’s going to be plenty. Tickets are $30 but there’s some wiggle room, including a lower rate for teens—if you have someone in your house who needs to eat everything that’s not nailed down every 20 minutes, this should hold them for a while.
ASAP, remotely: Ron needs a heart transplant.
BY June 30 (to apply) and onward (to participate): The PVD Bike Collective is inviting 2-4 new members to join their work of redistributing and repairing bikes and sharing bike skills. It’s a 10-15 hour a month commitment; why not visit one of their events and see how you feel about the people and the shop? You can also write to them at hello@pvdbikecollective.org with questions.
With love,
Kate
