Neighborly Actions: Spring Has Sproonk (Into Action)!
Celebrate over here, learn over there, and help a survivor stay safe.
ASAP, remotely: Your donation will put our neighbor “Michelle” in a better position to build a life beyond domestic violence. She has taken the brave and scary step of leaving, and we can help her stay gone.
SATURDAY, MAY 20, 11am-1pm, Southside Cultural Center (393 Broad St, Providence): Facilitate Change, a local facilitation and social justice coaching collective, is having a party that’s also a fundraiser for their ongoing work! If you think, “My workplace/organization/whatever could surely use this,” or want to know more about what “this” is, or just want to further the spread of anti-oppression skills in our city and state, this could be a nice way to spend your Saturday noon. Kid-friendly; delicious food promised; $25 suggested donation.
MAY 27 1-3pm, MAY 28 12-3pm, and JUNE 1 6-8:30pm, remotely: Project LETS is hosting three events for people with various relationships to altered states of mind, feeling and spirit. Depending on your own experience, you may find affirmation, recognition and power; gain some new understanding and some skills that you can apply as a friend, family member or neighbor; or learn ways to do your professional work with expanded skill and compassion. Or all three! Accessibility info and pricing at the links above.
Thank you all,
