Just a few more neighborly actions!
Quick federal action for Palestine, plants and worms, tenant organizing and more.
Hi everyone,
Things do seem to keep happening. Here are a few more of them.
ASAP, remotely: Texting PTFDZN to the number 50409 lets your representatives know that you want them to vote favor of HR 2590, a federal bill that directs US money away from the Israeli army.
5/23, in the morning, location TBD: If you’re free on Sunday and feel like a stroll would do you good, can you help hang up some door hangers about evictions and demanding protection for renters? Email Devra at devra@leadsafekids.org today or tomorrow!
5/22 and 5/23, you set the time, Pawtucket: Bush bean and melon plant starts available through the Growing Things Project! Pay what you can; Venmo to $RedLightHive, and use your note to make a contactless pickup plan. Look at these beauties!
The Growing Things Project is also contemplating free/pay-what-you-can worm composting kits, so stay tuned about that (and let them know if you’d be interested in one).
Anytime this week or month or…: The Tomaquag Museum is asking for donations for their Indigenous Empowerment Network, which builds both cultural knowledge and workplace skills. If you aren’t Indigenous to Rhode Island yourself, a monthly donation that is within your means makes sense as a small act of restoration and repair. Do so here.
With love,
Kate
